Sending an infant to daycare can be such a challenging transition. One piece of advice I always share with parents is that it is so much easier on your baby to start prior to about 5-6 months of age. This is typically when “stranger danger” kicks in. When infants begin earlier, this routine is what they know, their daycare teachers have always been a part of their lives, and there is a much smoother transition for them.
