My parents have just got me my first car after passing my test … although I’m obviously grateful it is awful!! Really old cd player in it, so no apple car play and it’s 10 years old!!!! I’m embarrassed to be seen it in and it’s a two door so hard to get car seat In and out of the back.
How on earth can I ask them to take it back and get something better even if I add some money to it without upsetting them!?!?

I mean in all honesty you don’t exactly sound greatful at all. You are really lucky that your parents are able to help you like this. Start saving to buy something different. In the meantime you can buy Bluetooth adapter from the likes of B&M to connect your phone to your car that’s cheap x
Spoilt little baggage aren’t ya? It’s ideal to have a banger for your first car whilst you get used to it for the first year then you can save up more to buy your own car. Think it’s lovely of your parents to buy you one as a gift

My car is 16 years old, only has 2 doors, and I’ve got 2 kids and a husband to fit in it 😫🤣 I WISH I had a 10-year-old car! I desperately need a new one, but cars are so expensive now.
Count yourself lucky your parents even bought you a car and you didn’t have to buy one yourself You can literally get a screen with sat nav installed if it’s compatible with your car, or get a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter.
If you’re still not happy with it, next time buy yourself a car 🤣🤣
P.s I can fit 2 baby car seats in my little Corsa when I have my nieces even the joie 360, yes it’s tight but doable!!
Buy your own? My dad bought me my first car and yes it wasnt what I wanted but never once would I have said. It turned out to be the best wee car! A 10 year old car is nothing to be mocked! My A4 was 13 years old and I owned it for 10 years! My new to me car is almost 10 years old!

Am I the only one reminiscing about their first car right now…….old old car, like tape deck old car…….but I bloody loved it 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve always paid for my own cars but that first car you buy is just a core memory you never forget in my opinion, maybe for embarrassing reasons as you look back at it 💀🤣 but my shit box was my shit box and I loved it 🤣

Ive got a Bluetooth thing that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Tbh you’ve just passed your test.. your first year is going to be a year of still learning. Suck it up and say thankyou and start saving for something better once your first year is out the way.
