Please can parents share their opinions on this matter. Myself and my partner have very different views.
At what age does it become inappropriate for a child to dress up during play?
For context I am not asking about
– special occasions or parties
-days out/ trips to the supermarket.
I am specifically asking about play at home or with friends on the street/ garden.
TIA

Is there a limit. While they still want to dress up I’d let them
Never too old to play dress up. Let people enjoy what they enjoy no matter their age.
Let them be kids and dress up as long as they want. We literally dress up as adults for parties, Halloween, Disney. People dress up for themed parties for jobs. Let them be kids
Literally never. Adults dress up to play, too.
I’m sat in a bunny onesie as I’m cold, therefore I’m dressed as a bunny 🤷🏼♀️
Does it matter how old they are as long as they are happy and able to express what they want to do and dress which is important.
Adults dress up so why can’t children ?!
Never?! Why put limits on something that brings someone joy and happiness, it’s not something that seems inappropriate to me?
Unless I’m missing something here.
Literally never? Fully grown adults dress up and go to comic con. Adults dress up to go to Disney land, adults who work at Disney land dress up. I don’t see an issue at all.
First world problems! Just wait until they are teens you’ve seen nothing yet! Just pick your arguments!
When they are ready.
Let them play and be children
