I’m at 22 weeks pregnant and my baby has no heartbeat, I’m going into hospital tomorrow so they can start inducing labour 😢😢😢
How on earth do I explain to my 2 and 5 year old sons that their baby sister won’t be coming home with us, we’ve already named her Amelia Rose.
I’m not coping with the news at all how on earth are two little boys going to understand

Sorry for your loss. 2 year old won’t really understand but be as honest as you can with the 5 year old and keep it simple. ❤️
I’m so sorry you having to go through this. I have a 5 6 8 year old and four months ago we lost there 20 month old sister.
All I can say is be honest. Never tell them they are sleeping. Your baby is in heaven now, she lives in the sky. She will send signs. They can draw pictures, make a corner where they can leave things, notes.. drawings… keep the routine for them as much as it will kill you. 🫶🫶💓 you’ve got this. Xxxx
When I had a stillborn at 34 weeks
I had a 7 year old
5 year old terminally ill so he wouldnt understand
A 4 yesr old with global development delay
3 year old
I got my mum to explain to them the best she could
My child who was 4 who is now 5 she tells me all the time baby boy in the sky an points
An the eldest who is now 8 sometimes speaks about him does get upset about him but other than that they never process it
Me an my now 4 yesr old went and took flowers to his grave the other week and now all she talks about is ‘we went to the castle took flower to baby jake’ so technically your babies will just about understand 🥹
Its only been a yesr since I lost my son an we all cope differently and each household is different if you want to share photos of your baby to them do it but I personally didnt want to show my children photos of my baby as their to young and i just dont feel like its acceptable
I’m so sorry for your loss, maybe try heaven needed a very special little girl and they chose their baby sister as she’s extra special…. I kinda used this to my LB about his auntie, told him heaven needed a special person to become the brightest star in the sky at night and at night he looks out for the brightest star in the sky and he says it’s ’auntie Kirsty shining bright’ He’s 4years old! Xx
My little one found that his loved one that passe become.the brightest star in the sky. I know its not an answer but it gave him some visual comfort knowing all he had to do was look up for the brightest star ✨️
