Ok, can I do a post please.

Me and my wife are together and we’ve recently had a new baby (1 month old) we have a 2 year old and since the new baby has been born the sleeping of the 2 year old has changed.
She doesn’t fall asleep like she used to and wakes in the nights and ends up in bed with her mam when I’m downstairs with the new baby at early hours during the feed.

Advice on getting the 2 year old back into a good routine of sleeping in her own room and when she wakes up settles in her own room. She goes into bed with my wife and when I try to move her she wakes up. I know the changes in the house can effect her so we aware of this.

Myself and my wife both exhausted and the time apart at nights is effecting us not being in the same bed as we don’t want the marriage effected. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

  1. Your child is experiencing change because of the huge change in your lives. You added a whole sibling to their life. It’s gonna affect things.

Have you been able to spend extra time with older child during the day and early evening towards bedtime routine? Is the routine the same? I’d say not to worry for a few months because regression when a big change happens is normal just keep doing what you’re doing and kiddo will settle
