Mother sues daughter who gave her a kidney in £1 million court row
A Football Association doctor who donated a kidney to save her mother’s life is embroiled in a £1 million court row with her now estranged parent.
Sonia Bains and her sister, Sharn Bains, are being sued by their mother, Camilla Bains, over the ownership of an £800,000 house and £340,000 in cash that the parent has claimed her daughters were given to look after for her after her divorce.
A judge in London has been told that the mother had been seriously ill for many years and had undergone three kidney transplants.

The last operation took place in 2017 and Sonia, a team doctor for the Football Association, who previously worked for the women’s sides at Arsenal and Brentford, was the donor.
