I would like this to be anonymous please and I think this is how you post I’m not sure.
Tomorrow I’m booked in for a surgical abortion tomorrow. When I tell you I’m feeling every emotion going and I don’t actually know if this is what I want. My partner doesn’t want another baby but if I said I did he would go along with it to make me happy. I am already a mum, I understand and it’s a blessing and please don’t come for me. My last baby was in hospital for a long time as he was born with a condition but he is now ok. I’m scared, upset and unsure. Please someone just give me some advice.. I have already had an appointment and cancelled it (made up and excuse). Thank you in advance, please be kind

  1. You can only do what you feel is right for yourself and your family. If you’re having such strong doubts, I would recommend speaking to your parter and a counsellor before you go ahead tomorrow. It’s not a decision you can undo, either way so you need to be as sure as you can be. Xx

  2. It hurts, a lot. Even though they numb you it still hurts, you’re awake for it. I had surgery to remove retained tissue after an incomplete miscarriage. It does and will affect you afterwards. Have a chat with your partner and make sure this is definately what you both want.

  3. Honestly it sounds like you would like to keep this baby, and some company for your other little child. I’m a full believer in it’s happened for a reason. If he’s not dead set against it and would go along with it to keep you happy then I think when baby is born he would love it like he does his first.

  4. Is it the procedure itself you’re concerned about or the outcome?
I would interpret your current feelings to be your gut instinct if I were you. I find it’s not until the last moment mine kick in, maybe that’s what’s happening for you now.
Give yourself more time, it’s a decision you need to feel sure about and if you aren’t sure – there’s a reason for that♥️

  5. It sounds like you have not dealt with the psychological trauma of your babies illness and the worry this caused you, understandably. I wonder if you are so frightened that this could happen again and that is making you doubt you could cope with another birth. Only you can decide what you want to do about this pregnancy but if you do decide to continue, I would recommend getting some counselling so that you can enjoy the pregnancy and look forward to the future. Which ever route you decide, best of luck and pls reach out for help professionally if you need to.

  6. First of all, It’s your body, your choice.

Second of all, having a child isn’t like making a sandwich. It takes a huge part of your life and if you’re not ready for a second baby that’s normal. But a termination isn’t something you can reverse and the guilt won’t disappear overnight. Don’t leave it to long to decide and make it harder on yourself.
Your first baby is loved and cared for and only you know if you can and if you’re ready to bring another life into the world.

You’ve a team of women behind you what ever your decision.. 🤍
