Hi can I have a private post please 🫶🏼

I was with my children’s dad for 13 years/engaged for 1. We was together since we was 16 years old and I genuinely thought we was always gunna be together. 6 months ago he left me and got with another woman literally the next day. I found his phone records and turns out he was phoning this woman when we was still together. Anyway 6 months on, this woman has been introduced to our kids, they sleep at her house. My question is how on earth do I ever heal from this. I still feel as sad/broken/angry I did 6 months ago. I don’t feel I’ll EVER have feelings or love someone again. It’s actually so draining🥲

  1. It certainly would be and there are no easy answers. U suffered a major, sudden and unexpected loss which will require a great deal of time to recover from commensurate more or less with the time that u spent together. Right now your major focus must be on your family. Please look into some counseling, talk to your dr and most importantly look after yourself so that u can take care of your innocent children. Don’t b afraid to reach out and ask for help or accept offers of help. Every day is a new chance to start over. Show your children strength, hold your head up hi and move forward w/ strength and determination. Remember, your children still need u and will watch how u handle this. It’s a turning point in your life. Please seek the help u need to Not only b a Pillar of strength for your children but to pull yourself up and heal from this pain, hurt and betrayal. I’m sorry he did this to you.

  2. Sorry your going through this. Wish i could say something helpful. If i started typing od write a book. Give yourself time, walks in nature talk to someone u trust. Most of all be careful what you say to kids. Wishing u well

  3. There’s nothing that anyone can say that will stop the hurt. For now. I’ve been there. That old cliché – Time heals all wounds. It’s true. One day you’ll be fine, and it’s ok not to be fine today. Let yourself hurt and feel the pain, but also learn to use that love you had for him to love yourself. You deserve the best and one day, you’ll be happy again. X

  4. You’ve been betrayed and he’s with the woman he cheated on you with so it’s going to annoy and upset especially now he’s letting the kids spend time with her. However you can bet life will bot he rosy as both have got together in dishonesty so they won’t have full trust.
Best way to get over someone is to concentrate on yourself and be happy. Someone better will come along. It’s also ok to still care, you were together a long time from an important time of your life so probably your first love but the hurt will stop
