Hello could I have an annoymous post please.
I have been with my partner 3.5 years, we have a 1 year old together.
We are in a really good place, he has never given me a reason not to trust him. He really does treat me right in every way. I’ve never had thoughts of him leaving me or looking elsewhere once since the beginning but recently my mental health has took a bit of a dip. I feel alot more emotion than usual, over thinking has become a huge problem for me. I overthink things what haven’t even happened. I feel like im in self sabotage mode. I feel like I have a voice in my head who’s just constantly telling me im not good enough. Telling me he’s going to leave and find better. Now im at the point I think he’s cheating. I know he isn’t, I know this is genuinely all in my head. I have done this in past relationships when my mental health gets to a certain point and I look for problems what aren’t there. I have spoke to him about this and although he feels hurt and let down the fact im thinking these things he has said he will do anything to support me. He leaves his phone for me to use or pick up, hes not secretive or given any reason for me to think this way. I know people may say trust yout gut the problem is I dont have a gut feeling this is just battles within my head. No gut feeling involved. Has anyone else been at the point they know deep down there self sabotaging? I have not had an easy upbringing or the best past relationships so I tend to get so far in a relationship and begin to think there ready to leave me. I dont want my past or mental health to ruin my relationship. I know im the problem and I dont know how to control it.
