Can I have an anonymous post please?

I’m 41 years old, separated from my husband 3 years ago. Currently going through a divorce. It’s not an amicable split and he does everything he can to make my life difficult. I have two children, one with special needs. I do everything for my children, he takes them from a Friday night to Sunday, every other weekend. I have no family support, both my parents passed away in the last 3 years and my siblings live miles away.

I started seeing a man last year who I knew of, we matched on a dating site. I was unsure at first as I know his ex wife but I hadn’t seen her in years and know that she was the reason their marriage ended 6 years ago. She has had other partners previously but is currently single as far as I know.

When we were together about 3 months he told her about me and threw a massive wobbler. Said it was disgusting because I know her. She has poisoned their 2 children against me to a point where they don’t want to even meet me and she has said that I’m not allowed to be anywhere near them. We’ve been together 14 months now and this is putting a strain on the relationship. He has his children a lot as do I. When I have my free weekend if he has his children, I am not allowed to see him and so spend the weekend alone. We only see one another a few hours every week and rarely spend a night together. I’ve asked him where he sees this going as I really do love him and he says he loves me too and wants a future with me but I don’t see how that can ever be with the current situation. I’ve asked him to talk to his children who are both teenagers. I told him they don’t have to like me but I think they should be able to tolerate me if I make him happy. He isn’t divorced yet but said he will look into it soon.

What do I do? I have so much going on this is the last thing I need but I am head over heels in love with this man and he is so good to me, we get on well and we seem to make one another happy it’s just the current situation makes it very difficult for things to progress and I really don’t know how we could ever have life together if it doesn’t change 😥

  1. Your wasting Your time.
He is the problem (sadly No Balls)
She Cohersive him in the relationship Now Out
He’s a Dad to those Kids and should be teaching kids manners and respect.
You will be lonely never be on the same unless He address s his life .
    Move on

  2. Honestly this doesn’t seem as big as a deal to him as it does to you else this would have been nipped in the bud a long time ago. He’s currently putting his ex wives feelings before yours. He needs to sit the children down, they’re teenagers like you said and tell them how it is and also his ex wife needs to be put in her place by him too. Even for example it does change slightly, what future is it for you if you have to constantly deal with his ex wives immature behaviour?
