Can I have a private post please?

I’m very early pregnant with by my ex partner.
We were together for 3 years and split up just before I found out I was pregnant.

He is desperate for us to get back together and I do love him and would like to however I have my reservations.

For one he discussed our relationship difficulties and the nasty things we said to each other during an argument with the mother of his child.
As a result of this she has put a complaint which has included a lot of lies into my work and I’m being investigated.

Secondly we live in different cities, the plan before falling pregnant was for me to move to his city as I never wanted children.
However now I am pregnant I don’t want to uproot my life and wish to remain close to my parents and extended family for support.
Because of his other child he can not move to my city.

This means that if I continue this pregnancy, I will be doing it basically alone which scares the crap out of me.
I’m also scared of my child growing up second best to his already pre established child as he won’t be able to visit our child as often.

Any advice?

  1. You’ll love being a mum keep doing you and your baby your family will be amazing and you’ll be a beautiful mum
All babies are beautiful whether they have both parents or not feel free to pm me if you’re needing a little extra chat or a little extra support

  2. Being a single mother isn’t as hard as you think.. my mum done it with 3 of us.. you get double the love.. scary yes but you can do it.. I have 2 girls and I’m single.. both have different fathers.. the eldest one goes 2 days a week and youngest goes more or less everyday.. arguments need to be talked about or they won’t be resolved, you both need to understand where the anger is coming from otherwise you’ll end up resenting each other down the line and things will end up worse.. sometimes you need to vent before you explode also so you’ll talk to anyone who’ll listen.. putting complaints into your work though is nasty.. how do you know it was her – it could have been anyone and you’re just blaming her right now because she has a good relationship co-parenting.. if he can’t make time/put in effort to see your child then just move on..!! You can do it by yourself.. it’s hard but it’s very rewarding

  3. I’ve been pregnant and scared too. I raised my baby alone… you can do it. U don’t need a man to raise your child. If he has no plans to move then send him on his way. U can take him for child support if you choose too. I would not worry bout ur child being 2nd best. If you have a great support system u got this- even if you don’t have a support system – there are many groups out there to help. Good luck.
