Can I get some help with a situation please?
I’m a Mam of two young kids, whilst I’ve got a social circle I never seem to be invited out by my “Mam friends” to do things without involving kids. I also host/organise 99% of activities for our kids.
These Mam friends have active social lives (that often include other mums from our school) but I’m not invited (even when I hint that I’d love to try that event/hobby/etc) or say I’m free.
When I ask to organise things it’s often “Ooh yeah…silence” or “I’m broke” despite then having other things on.
It’s getting me down and I feel like I’m more unpaid childcare/back up childcare than a friend.
My main friends are childfree and live further away so I see them every few months (no fault of theirs/mine it’s just life!).
I don’t want to be someone that’s just there for kid things but I am also scared that if I stop my kids will miss out.
Sorry if I sound petty but I have no one to vent to that understands.

Dont be so willing sweetheart 😘 just organise things with different reliable people..
They don’t sound like real friends, I wouldn’t even put myself In situations like that. And nor would I ask a second time to be involved or invited to something.
I would simply cut ties with them all 🤷♀️
Yes what Sarah said. Keep organising meet ups for the kids, it’s not fair that they get punished but get yourself a better social circle that actually want to include you in a non kiddo event 😉 xo
