My child is 9 years old and their father hasn’t consistently contributed financially and doesn’t make any effort to see him. I made an application with CMS 3 years ago and have tried around 5 times each time and they claimed to not having found him, oer the course of the last few years. I recently wrote to my MP regarding this which lead to me receiving a call from the complaints department in CMS… less than a week later my child’a dad received a letter from CMS, they suddenly found him!
If you are struggling with CMS please consider writing to your MP because their system clearly needs investigating how they claim to handle each case.
