I’m after some advice or help please 🙏
My 10 year old suddenly doesn’t want to go to school ( New Year 6 ) she’s always been fine going to school and been happy to go.
She moved schools last September so has one full year at the school.
She has a nice friendship group and sees her peers outside of school too.
We have just had 7 weeks off.
She is in tears each morning about going and can’t go in normal way has been going in through the office.
Yesterday she spent the whole morning out of the class doing colouring in the office.
Today she managed to stay in the class but kept going out for short breaks.
She said she doesn’t know what’s making her emotional she just misses me and wants to be at home.
She has got anxiety issues and worries about simple things. She had panic attacks every now and again. I have been GP twice they are not helpful.
The headteacher rang and we had a chat and I spoke about a CAHMS referral and she was like you won’t get one. 🙄
I’m happy to pay for therapy but have no idea we’re to start… and if she will talk she doesn’t say anything when we been to GP.
The school mentioned collecting early for a while but I really don’t want to get into that habit as we have never done anything like that before.
She just says she misses me 😭
Any help or advice or therapy recommendations please 🙏
