Yes, you are “supposed to” always try to burp baby after a feed. But sometimes in reality, you see baby peacefully asleep and you don’t want to disturb them. I feel like this is a good middle ground approach of letting baby stay asleep, while giving their tummies time to digest being upright, and then also being ready to address a burp if it’s needed! And hey, sometimes baby doesn’t need to burp. This is how me and little miss Kasyle often handle her burps. Even if I do actively try to burp her right after a feed, she doesn’t always burp! But, if I just hold her upright and wait for “the squirm”, I can then help her get the burp out.. #baby #babygirl #5weeksold #postpartumdoula #postpartum #doula #babytips #babytipsandtricks
