After some advice / experiences please.. this is a sensitive topic. ⚠️
My little girl is 3 years old and got upset last night telling me a female worker at nursery has hurt her bum, I stayed calm and asked for as much information as possible and asked questions but nothing clearer than my little girl told her not to touch her bum, the worker was then angry and hurt her on her front bum and back bum.
I feel sick having to type that. I am praying it is that the worker for whatever reason has wiped too hard causing the pain.
I have escalated this to the setting who have been amazing this morning and advised they have began formal investigations. I trust the nursery and have never had anything happen like this before ( my little girl is a sweetheart and would never say anything if not true.)
I guess has anyone else had anything similar, what do I do now in the meantime without losing my mind wondering.

give your daughter a teddy and ask her to show you what happened
I would take your daughter into the nursery and ask her to point to who hurt her. That would be enough for me to make sure she never does it again. I don’t care what excuses people are making here for ‘wiping too hard’ seriously??
I would also stress that 3 year olds deffo lie or exaggerate the truth.. of course you’ve followed all the right things but that is also a massive reason!
You can give her a doll and ask her how she hurt her.
U also need to report to the police by the sounds of things even if the nursery are dealing with it so nothing is left unanswered . I hope you and ur little girl is ok x
you need to report to mash within early years, it could well of been that she wiped her to hard but mash are the right people to do the investigation and come to a conclusion they can advise if any further action needs to be taken
