Weston parents urged to check Childcare Choices eligibility
This comes amidst a recent piece of research commissioned by the Department for Education’s Childcare Choices campaign revealed that half of parents in the South West are concerned about supporting their child’s development at home.
Whilst early years education offers many benefits, some parents remain uncertain about its role in helping their child make friends, despite early education settings providing structured opportunities for social interaction and skill-building.
The government-backed Childcare Choices can provide young children with up to 30 hours of childcare a week, with more information available at childcarechoices.gov.uk.
Claire Brook, a mother of one from Weston-super-Mare said: “The expanded childcare support has been transformative for our family.
“It gives my child a fantastic start in life by providing a safe, nurturing environment with trained professionals who offer a variety of enriching activities.
“Alice loves Little Adventures nursery, especially activities like messy art and digging for treasure in the mud garden, which can be hard to do at home, but supports her development and growth.”
Claire later went on to add: “I encourage all parents to visit Childcare Choices and check their eligibility ahead of the Monday, March 31 deadline.”
