On Thursday, myself and my family were having a meal at Old Market Café in town in clacton on sea. I had my five week old baby with me, who was happily snoozing away while we ate.
During our meal, an elderly gentleman who I had never met before came over and handed me a £1 coin, wishing my newborn good luck. It was such an unexpected gesture from a stranger but it genuinely touched my heart. ❤️
I know it’s very unlikely that he’ll ever see this as he probably isn’t on social media, but I wanted to say thank you again. Perhaps one of his family members might see this and recognise what he did, and be able to pass on my thanks again. ☺️
So many pensioners struggling financially at the moment, and winter approaching, so I’m especially grateful that he chose to do something so thoughtful for a complete stranger.
I feel in clacton we always get a lot of bad press but there is so many lovely people here.
It’s moments like this that restore a little faith in people. Thank you, kind gentleman. ❤️
