Mums to go for free on Red Jet this Mother’s Day

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Isle of Wight ferry service Red Funnel is offering free travel for mums on Sunday, March 30.

The offer is available to mothers who travel on the Red Jet, when they are travelling with a paying “child” – whether that be a six-year-old or 60-year-old!

To use the offer, mums and children must go to the Red Jet ticket desk at the Cowes or Southampton terminal, purchase a full-priced ticket and ask for the “mums go free offer”.

If the child travelling is under five years old, another adult ticket will qualify the offer.

The mums go free offer is for mothers, stepmothers or motherly figures, allowing Island mums to travel over to the mainland for the special day for shopping, drinks or even a Mother’s Day meal.

Recently, the construction of a new Red Jet vessel was greenlit.

Red Funnel and Artemis Technologies announced the first phase of the project was completed and now entering the construction and delivery phase.

A spokesperson for Red Funnel said the Artemis EF-24 ferry is a high-performance electric vessel, operating with zero emissions.
