Indian Father daughter duo shot dead in Virginia
Virginia: In a shocking incident, an Indian father daughter duo was shot dead in a store in Virginia, USA. This incident has sent shockwaves among the Gujarati’s residing in USA.
As per reports, the incident took place on March 20, around 5.30 am when the accused, came to the store, managed by the man to buy liquor. Suddenly, the accused argued with the man over store’s opening hours. Questioning why the store wasn’t open during the night, the accused took out his gun and fired both the father and daughter who were present at the store at that time. While the father died on spot, daughter was taken to the hospital in serious condition. However, she took her last breath 36 hours later.
The father and daughter have been identified as Pradeepbhai Patel (56) and Urvi (24). He belonged to Mehsana village from Gujarat. Pradeepbhai along with his wife and daughter moved to Virginia 6 years ago for better business opportunities, he had 3 daughters, one daughter was residing with him is US, another had relocated to Canada while the third is currently residing in Ahmedabad.
The local authorities have arrested the accused who has been identified as George Farzier Devon Wharton (44), he is being held in Accomack County Jail without bail and facing the charges of murder, attempt to murder, use of firearm and possession of forearm.
