Hi I’m just wondering if you could post this anonymously please , I’m a mum of two and I’m currently unable to drive, which has left me really struggling with getting my children to and from school. We live in a rural area and unfortunately there isn’t a straightforward public transport option that works with their school times.
I’m feeling really overwhelmed because I obviously want to make sure my kids get to school every day and don’t want them to miss out because of my situation.
Has anyone been in a similar situation, especially living rurally without a car? Is there anything I could apply for or anyone I could contact about school transport, lifts, buses, or any other options I might not have thought of?
I’d really appreciate any advice or ideas, even if they seem obvious. I’m just trying to figure out a way to make this work for my kids.

Contact the school and see if any parents are able to help with your situation. I’m guessing they are in primary school so the office can even send out a message to all. You may have a neighbour nearby with kids at school too who could help?
I’m guessing you are a single parent (as I was) but can the father not help? Mine couldn’t as he moved abroad but you’d like to think if he’s nearby he could?? xxx
