I have 2 children and my partner has 1 . They are 2x nearly 8 year olds and my eldest is 10. I’m struggling with the differences in how we raise our children.
Please help and advice. My partner allows his nearly 8 year old to jump on my sofa constantly and headstand on it , she’s sit at the table with the I pad glued to her, she’s takes the I pad to the toilet, runs around naked exposing herself, she gets my partner to wipe her bum still amongst many other things that my children don’t do. I’m at my wits end asking her nicely to treat my very expensive sofa with respect. I’m struggling because my children respect property and have boundaries and I don’t feel that my partners child does this and it’s causes arguments between us as he sees no issues. Am I overreacting? I’m not saying my children at perfect but I just like basic manners and old fashioned values of dinner without screens etc
