✨Edit: this is totally normal for babies! This isn’t to scare people to thinking something is wrong. These are just tips to help the discomfort ✨ Do they… -not burp -have gas pain -are super fussy -eat an ounce then stop for 15 minutes then they’re starving -belly sounds hollow when you tap on it Our pediatrician told us he has air in his belly and that’s why he has all those symptoms. Disclaimer: this is not medical advice, but here’s what we’ve found to help -orthodontic bottle nipples -more time on his belly to help move the air -Mylicon 5 times a day BEFORE eating -extra breaks between eating -sitting him more upright to eat -burp like your life depends on it -adjust the bottle until you don’t hear him sucking air We’ve made these adjustments for about a week now and we’ve seen a HUGE difference. It’s not completely fixed, but he’s finally burping. He’s a little less fussy. He can pass gas without screaming first. These were all methods recommended by our pediatrician. #fussybabies #newborn
