Could I get a PP please 💖
I have a 4 month baby and I’m really struggling with feeding. Baby is formula fed but soaks the bibs and muslins so much when they feed. They dribble so much milk out as they’re feeding, and even when they suck the bottle it squirts out their mouth and covers them. I have tried different size teats, but moving up a teat size makes them more uncomfortable whilst feeding as they fidget a lot and cry and still leak so much milk whilst feeding. I have also tried a different brand bottle but the same thing happens… we’re loosing about 1oz of milk just being dribbled and spat out whilst feeding. HV has said it sounds like reflux..
Do I try changing the milk? Could this be an allergy?
Has anyone else had this before? I don’t know what more to do x

Maybe check for tongue tie its very common and easily missed , speak to your nhs
Tounge tie.
I used to find the Avent bottles good that was 20 odd years ago though 🤔 😅 xx
What bottles are you on?
This sounds like baby is tongue tied. Speak to the health visitor amd they car refer you to the GP to have it cut. X
One my baby’s had a tongue tie was doing this just check the tongue we found until she had snipped the large Tom tippi colic bottles x
Has baby always done this from early on? I assume you have tried changing the flow of the teat? As in how many holes the teat has and how fast the milk comes out. I think most little ones do leak milk remember they are still learning. Its been many years since i used bottles as mine r old now but they used to make different flow teats unsure how it is now
If it was reflux baby would be sick not leaking milk out. My boy had reflux and the sick was horrendous he had meds till he was 14 months old (he was 15 months on Wednesday).
It defo sounds like tongue/lip tie
I’ve heard of some people getting great success with the cheap bottles, but I’d definitely have baby checked for lip and tongue ties as these are far more common than people realise and cause similar problems when feeding due to an insecure latch.
