Can I have a pp please,
Me and my partner have a 4 month old who still wakes frequently through the night, not for feeds he just needs settling back down. I do 100% of the nights and I’m beginning to get exhausted. I asked my partner for help and asked if he could do 2 nights a week to allow me to get some full nights of sleep. He told me no, said that it’s not fair as he is the one working. Just to add, he doesn’t pay towards any household bills, I have always handled them all myself as when I’m working, I make more money. Am I wrong for asking him to help? He only works 5 days a week and says the 2 days he’s off are his time to sleep and doesn’t get out of bed until midday.

  1. Now you are a mother ask yourself one question when your child grows up how would you feel if they got treated the way you are now and if you don’t like the answer then that tells you everything you need to know lovely….

  2. So what I’m hearing is you’re a single mum of 2 children! Let the man child go back to his real mummy and your life will be much easier. Read these comments out to him – if he throws a tantrum then this confirms he’s not ready to be a partner or parent yet

  3. I work my wife stays home with our 8 month old. Whilst I have a job my wife’s job is a lot harder…

When our baby was this age. I’d get up and make the bottles and go back to sleep whilst my wife fed and changed…

  4. This will be the experience for the rest of your life
Complain here is great but definitely do something
    You know it’s not right
Not a person who you can trust to help now not ever
    Let him go
Support yourself and your life with your children

  5. If he is not paying, not helping with baby or doing any housework, why do you have him? What good is he doing you? I would have a conversation with him and it would go like this. What good are you doing me? What is the point of keeping you? What do you bring to the table? Because from my point of view you’re just more work!!

  6. Regardless of if you make more money, he is meant to be your partner. It should be 50/50 to be honest. I was in your situation with my sons father and I paid for eveything and did everything. Needless to say we split up when he was 6 months old and my son is now 17 and my daughter 23( different dad, also useless)and done it mainly all by myself. It is surprisingly easier. Im sorry you’re going through this but he sounds like an ass. You need to ask yourself what exactly is he bringing to this relationship other than heartache right now xx
