Can I have a private post please? My 5.5yo just had a swimming intensive course. At the end, I sent a note to the person organising the course to say thank you, we loved it he improved so much.
Out of the blue, the reply I had was, you are welcome, also we put an extra teacher on his group, because of him. He struggles listening, doesn’t play attention, etc. So he looks neurodiverse, so what do you want to do now?
I was a bit shocked, never crossed my mind, but he just finished reception and all I heard from his teachers was that he did great, great reading, phonics, etc. He is energetic at times but also concentrates when needed. I do see that at swimming for some reason he gets hyper. He just learnt to go underwater, and doesn’t stop, so he doesn’t listen at swimming for some reason, the teachers are firm with him.
I don’t know what to reply or what to do? I don’t want to ignore it, but also have never crossed my mind, so I’m lost of what to do or reply. I don’t know what she means, she doesn’t want him in the course again? Thanks
