Ppp can I please have a yes or no. Not really baby related. Right I just rung the police on my next door neighbour. I heard lots of banging and a woman saying don’t you fuking ring the police to her other half then more banging her saying get out of my houes then I heard a child voice. This went on for more then half hour. She woken up my child at this point to. Did I do the right thing or not as the time the police came they was saying to them it’s all OK now. But yet a child was in the houes?? X

Yes you definitely did. I rang the police when I was concerned for a child living next door to my boyfriend and I was worried I’d done the wrong thing but the police assured me it was the right thing to do. Think how you’d feel if something happened to them and you’d done nothing. Well done for ringing xx
Ring them as much as needed first and foremost theres a child in the house who may potentially get in crossfires between the adults and get hurt secondly they may talk to the lid like that too in some way or another verbally abusive its always better to be safe than sorry whatever is going on as humans we have a duty of care to safeguard any child or vulnerable person you absolutely did the right thing. If police saw the child or know the child isnin the house at the time of any domestic incident no matter how small or over it might be they will usually always let social services know
