Hi looking for advice, we are married and have a blended family with 3 children between us between ages 16 – 7. We both work hard but not on amazing wages, we rent and have been looking to move for ages but cant afford the rent anywhere else as ours is quite cheap. We have been looking into buying a static caravan somewhere with cheap site fees as this gives us a getaway at weekends and all the kids would love it. What’s people’s thoughts or advice please? We feel stuck at the moment because we just cant afford to move, we looked into moving further out the area because its cheaper but my son is about to start his course at college so I dont want to do that xx

Save your money until your son finishes college.
Site fees are not cheap and you have zero security.
Your options are relocating or shared ownership.
That’s based on me assuming you live in an expensive part of the uk. Where I am it’s £1500 a month for a 2 bed ðŸ˜
If you hd room in the caravan ,,do it
Don’t do it! They often come with hidden fees and they really depreciate !
You can’t live on site all year round, site fees are expensive and when you sell your caravan, you end up at a loss.
