However many were missing out as they didn’t realise Nuby even had a maternity discount programme.

Chelsea shared the information on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group and said: “Not sure if this is well known or not, but if you have a maternity exemption certificate you can get 20 per cent off everything full price on the Nuby website.
“All you need to do is upload your certificate and it gives you an instant code.”
She also shared a screenshot from the Nuby website, which gave more details of the discount scheme.
It said: “Welcoming a new life into the world is a joyous occasion, accompanied by excitement, anticipation, and preparation.
“Nuby understands the significance of this beautiful journey and seeks to support expecting mothers through our maternity discount programme.
“The maternity discount initiative is a testament to our commitment to celebrating motherhood and making the transition into parenthood as smooth as possible.
“This programme offers an exclusive 20 per cent discount on all full-priced items to expecting mothers who are given an NHS maternity exemption certificate.”
The website then has a section for maternity leavers to upload their certificates to get their Nuby discount code.
It stressed again that discount were available on full price items only, with sale items and bundles excluded.
Many Facebook users said they were unaware of the discount prior to Chelsea’s post.
Jennie replied: “Oooh thanks, didn’t know about this!” Louise added: “Thanks you for sharing, this is great.”
Caroline said: “I did not know this. Thanks so much!” Katie tagged a pal and wrote: “Not sure if you need anything but good to know.”
Rose joked that she could have done with that “five years ago”, while Lexie also wished she’d known about it sooner as she had just “got a bunch of stuff and paid full price”.
A maternity exemption certificate also entitles people to free NHS prescriptions and dental treatment while pregnant, and for a year after giving birth.
