Now it’s £1,000-plus cots as gushed about by Gigi Hadid and Chloë Sevigny, bouncers and designer baby slings that get the Sienna Miller seal of approval.

“Baby lists are the new wedding lists,” says Tiffany Norris, founder of the Mummy Concierge, who counts members of the royal family among her clients.

She says she has seen a 150 per cent increase in baby lists in the last year. “For my VIP clients, I usually do the list for them, then fly out to wherever they are and actually do the shopping for them.”
