Basically my ex is on my daughters birth certificate but hasn’t been involved in her life since she was about three weeks old. (Shes now one year 2months old) She has a double barreled surname his name and my name last. Can I get his name took out without him knowing ? As I know he won’t agree xx

Can be known by any name but legal documents will have original name on , did this with my son
Just change it by deed poll, if you need to send documents anywhere in the future just send birth certificate and deed poll certificate xx
A birth certificate is a legal document that can’t be ever changed x
Mine are double barrelled we only every use the last name in schools etc, its only ever really on official paper work both are used.

My sons name is double barrelled but iv only ever used his last part of his name iv neavor had a problem he’s 15 in three weeks
no…im in the same boat except im 14 years and 4 months later..she can change it herself when 16..until then its his permission you need well consent of both of you
Even with a deed poll you still have to produce the birth certificate and deed poll a deed poll is legal but it has to go with a legal birth certificate a name may be changed but the legal paperwork ie you cant Take the father or change name off unless it’s through the courts like you done a dna and it’s been proven the father named is not the father otherwise it can’t change
