Could I have a post please..
My son is 11 yrs old and we finally have his first appointment next week following a ADHD refferal.. Does anyone know what happens in the first appointment? Only so I can explain it to him to help him understand it a bit more.. Thank you 🙂

Just tell him to be himself, with my child they mainly spoke to me, they go on mainly on what the school said, what the referral says and your input on the questionnaire because technically you can’t diagnose ADHD for a 1 hr appointment, just chill be yourself they can see it.
They will talk to you. Talk to your child. Watch them. Look at schools questionare and yours. I was told she could see my son was very hyper ( had there been a chandelier he would of been swinging from it ) but because school scored higher than I did she said schools over exaggerate and couldnt make a conclusion without a Qb test. 🤔. Didn’t agree with this given school expectations and home are completely different. Yes hes hyper yes hes a handful yes hes exhausting but after 7/8 years were used to him and how he is.
They watch them play, and talk to them. It’s all quite relaxed. My grandson was 3 when he had his 1st appointment x
