Good evening mums, can I have some advice please privately if possible xxx

My son is 15 and going to a house party next weekend and staying over night, I know there will be alcohol there but my question is would you buy some beers or ciders etc for him to take?

I know when I was that age I would stand outside the offie and ask someone to get me cheap vodka.

Now I know he shouldn’t be drinking but he’s gonna do it anyways so maybe it’s better to get him softer alcohol like beer rather than spirits! What’s everyone else’s views or am I being too overprotective or cautious? X tia

  1. Tbh yeah i’d get let him choose a crate eg budweiser or something like that if he’s a responsible lad. Weather you get him alcohol or not like you said its going to be there. Just make sure that its a small house party and no univited guests start turning up causing trouble.

Cheap vodka? Noooo its was all about the md2020 back then getting absolutely blitzed.

  2. I give my son drinks to take and that’s what he drinks I’ve found the ones who aren’t allowed (totally get it they are too young) are the ones that drink everything in sight and end up 🤮

  3. Personally my daughter who is nearly 17 went to parties when she was 15, mostly 16, I always gave her some alco pops like WKD or sourz and lemonade to share and made it clear to her that she only drinks the stuff I give her, obviously explained that you have to be careful about people spiking drinks. I was happy to let her have a few but only the drinks I gave her. She was always very sensible and most of the time would drink a couple and bring them home.
