Does your baby flail their arms or suddenly wake up like they’ve been startled? That’s the Moro reflex and it’s totally normal! The Moro reflex is an involuntary startle response which is part of your baby’s nervous system development. It can cause: ⭐️ Sudden wake-ups ⭐️ Short naps ⭐️ Difficulty settling after being laid down The good news? It’s temporary. The reflex usually fades around 3–5 months. What can help in the meantime: ⭐️ Swaddling (if your baby isn’t rolling yet) ⭐️ Holding baby close during transitions ⭐️ Laying them down slowly- bottom first, then head ⭐️ White noise to soothe the startle You’re not doing anything wrong. Your baby is just growing and their brain is learning how to feel safe in stillness 🥰 Save this for those twitchy, restless nap times! #newbornsleep #mororeflex #soundasleepcoach #newborn #newbornbaby #newbornbabies #newbornsoftiktok #baby #mum #dad #mumsoftiktok #mumlife #babyboy #babygirl #nurse #development #swaddle #swaddledbaby
