Hi! 🤍 I’m Dr. Darcy, peds PT. Here’s one tip I’m using to help my [frustrated] baby girl get stronger for crawling! ✨ Remember, this is just a purposeful play activity that you *can* practice to get your little one moving towards the next skill! Not trying to rush or “force” anything…😉🤍 Most kiddos *will* crawl on their own with opportunities given for floor play and independent exploration of their environment, but there is no harm in supporting them along if they are frustrated and are in the age appropriate range for the skill! Kneeling gets your little one’s glutes and core working so that they can get strong for that hands & knees position! Gravity also won’t be as heavy on your little one in this position when compared to hands & knees, so they can work more successfully on strengthening first! 🤍 #crawling #babydevelopment #pediatricpt #babymilestones
