Hi,
I have recently been thinking this exact same thing. I have just recently moved back to where I grew up and all my friends are here but I’m the only one who has a child so they all do whatever they want while I’m stuck watching netflix, trying to avoid the temptation of stuffing my face. It has been suggested to join a group, or go to the gym but let’s face it after working and running around after a 16month old who has time for that!!
I do have to say though I too laugh at the sounds of farts among other stupid stuff that I often contemplate whether I am in fact mature enough to be an adult/mum. Then I have a g&t and no longer care 🙂
This sounds exactly like me. The group of friends I had from school mostly moved away and I now have 1 left here who is just up the road, but she has no children (none of my old friends do) and goes to work obviously and has a social life (work pals, going out on dates etc) which I do not. I have 3 kids and am at home with the 2 year old just the two of us most days while my partner works 12 hour shifts. I also laugh at farts and other immature stuff and wonder how I am responsible for 3 small people.
