My daughter and i are in Scotland, i feel as if i have hit rock bottom and there…

My daughter and i are in Scotland, i feel as if i have hit rock bottom and there is no way up.
We recently left the family home due to emotional abuse and controlling behavior. I just couldn’t take it any longer.
It took months of planning to get us out and all i had in my focus was to get us out.
I used every saving i had, sold all items of value i had etc thinking once we were out all would be ok.
My ex is very controlling over the finances since we now have a house to be sold and i still have to pay 50% until its sold but in the meantime we have nothing.
I managed to make sure all the bills were paid so we don’t get into more problems, used a food bank last month but here we are start of the month we have no food and i have no fuel for my car.

I know my daughter age 9 is hungry and wondering why we don’t have much in the house, i feel like such a failure as a mum i really do.
Having no money for fuel is freaking me out, i need to go into work three times a week….i don’t need work clocking on their is an issue as i have always been a private person.
I contacted a womans charity a couple of weeks ago who said since i work full time i don’t qualify for any help. I told the lady we have no food but she hasn’t replied to my emails!
I am not a chancer but desperate. I am fine on toast and jam or a bowl of cereal but i am worried about my daughter and my car.

What can i do ?
Why is it when you work full time and just have enough to cover all the bills you don’t qualify for help?
My GP has given me medication to try and calm me down.

  1. Are you eligible for UC? You wouldn’t get housing element if you own a house. But you may still be eligible for standard element and child element.

    Do you get child benefit?

Have you looked into the Scottish Welfare Fund?

    Have you contacted womens aid?
